Top 10 Books of 2024 to Inspire Your Year Ahead

My Best Books of 2024 (out of 100 I read)

Hi Reader

I read about 100 books this year.

To be precise, I started 100 books but only finished half of them. That’s about one book per week – while running my company, publishing content daily and spending quality time with friends and family.

I’ve rounded up my Top 10 books of 2024 to help you reflect, learn, and prepare for what’s ahead.

These books will not only expand your knowledge but also help you navigate change, build better connections, and reflect on life’s fleeting moments.

Charles Duhigg unravels the secrets of the supercommunicators to reveal the art and the science of successful communication and the techniques we can all master to successfully connect with others.

#2 Simply Put by Ben Guttmann

This book is a splash of cold water, designed to wake up entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and marketing pros who have something they need to tell the world but just can't quite get their message right.

#3 Order Out Of Chaos by Scott Walker

This book draws on Walker’s experience as a kidnap negotiator. His methods, centred in empathy, active listening, trust-based influence and emotional control, will help you achieve the outcome you want.

#4 Radical Respect by Kim Scott

Radical Respect by Kim Scott is about leadership and workplace communication, focusing on treating others with deep respect while maintaining high standards to foster trust, collaboration, and accountability.

#8 Say What They Can’t Unhear by Tamsen Webster

Tamsen Webster presents nine "persuasion proverbs" to help you create lasting change. Rather than relying on coercion, Webster emphasizes understanding human psychology, alignment with values, and empowering others to make change stick.

#9 The Laws of Connection by David Robson

Drawing on neuroscience, behavioral science, and psychology, this book offers powerful insights into how small shifts in behavior can lead to better communication and deeper connections, whether in business or personal life.

#10 Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman

His follow-up to the mind-bending “4000 Weeks”. He offers short, daily reflective insights that tackle the complexities of modern life. Burkeman encourages readers to confront existential challenges, embrace the limitations of life and time, and rethink what truly matters in an age of distractions and busyness.

Wishing you a peaceful holiday season filled with rest, joy, and inspiration for the New Year ahead!

Oliver
